Asian Youth Day II will be held in Taipei, Taiwan R.O.C. It is a special occasion where youth from all parts of Asia will come together to celebrate the Lordship of Jesus over their lives. After a successful First Asian Youth Day held in Thailand in 1999, the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conference - Office of Laity would be holding the Second Asian Youth Day, from 11 to 17 August, 2001, in Taiwan.

 

The objective of the Asian Youth Day:

 

To share and deepen our "faith Journey" in the context of Asia
To grow in our commitment towards becoming a dynamic Church in Asia

 

 

 

 

To encourage greater participation in ecumenical and inter-religious dialogue

 

 

 

Venue:

Fu Jen Catholic University, Taipei County, Taiwan R.O.C.
(It will take about 1 hour from the airport, and also from the central part of Taipei city)

 

To start / strengthen our network for justice, peace and solidarity
